please help, I'm going mad
Hi,

I have an infuriating little problem which is really starting to drive me nuts.

Here is the link I am working on

http://www.ukpages.co.uk/ukps/avon/index.html

I want to change or remove the yellowish orange bit above the bit that says website links as it doesn't suit the rest of the site either by making it have the same image background as the bit below and then taking the bit below out or just losing it altogether .

I just can't find it and no matter what I change it is still there, it will probably turn out I have completely re written part of my site that I haven't even got to yet.Unsure

Can someone tell which template it is in or maybe its part of a global. I can change its colour in globals>header_row but cannot make the background an image. I have tried deleting the whole row in category.html but it is still there, I've looked at everything but it is still there. Part of the variable must be <%Name%> and I guess there is a variable for home page somewhere too but it eludes me.

Many thanks

Kev

Cheers

That is in your category.html or su cat template - depends which one you are using I guess. Download it in FTP - open it up in Dreamweaver or whatever then change the colour. That simple.

Hi,

thanks for the reply but it actually isn't that straighforward.Frown

That background colour is built using header row in globals so the colour would be changed there if that was the case, maybe once the page is finally built static then I can change that but every rebuild will revert back. I want to delete the line (bar/cell whatever you want to call it) so it doesn't display Home:>avon

I figure this 'might' be in category but I need to know which variable/line I am looking for.

Thanks anyway,

Kev

This is <%title_linked%> which is hard-coded into the core code. I think it is in Build.pm.

If you don't want to change the core code, I think you could write a simple global that reads in the title_linked tag and changes it and then outputs it in the format you want.

You can remove it altogether by leaving out <%title_linked%> from your template.
