nph-build.cgi - page unavailable - is this known?
We're running LinksSQL 2.1.1 locally on our dev server whilst preparing to relaunch our website and have come across a very strange problem when trying to build the site.

The admin functionality works fine - we can do everything within the admin, but when it comes to build, using any type of build (changed, all, staggered), we get a straight "Cannot Find Server" error.

Which is really weird - has anything like this been seen before?

All the other functionality is fine, but it won't rebuild - just goes straight to a "Cannot Find Server" browser error page.

Any idea what might cause this? It used to work, it's only fairly recently that it doesn't, but I can't think of any changes that might effect that. We're running ActivePerl on Win2k.

Cheers,

Ross

Try turning off nph++ headers in LSQL setup. Sometimes that error can mean it doesn't like using NPH++ headers.

Hope that helps Smile

Hi Andy,

Thank you - that seemed to do the trick.

What is the downside to turning off the nph headers? It's only a dev environment, but I'd be interested to know why they should or should not be enabled, just for my knowledge,

Cheers,

Ross

Are you using a RAQ server?....it isn't something you need to worry about, you won't (shouldn't) notice anything different.

Hi,

No it's a standard Win2k box with ActivePerl. Although I did let a unix guy install the ActivePerl.

If it's not a biggie, no worries - works a treat now.

Many thanks,

Ross
