moving servers export import trouble

moving servers export import trouble
Hi,

I've had a site up for quite a while running GL and am moving servers. I decided to put a new installation of GL on the new server, and export the site and import it. The new install went just fine, and when I go to import it, I get this error:
Quote:

A fatal error has occured:

GT::SQL (17869): File '/home/ql/public_html/cgi-bin/admin/defs/glinks_Links_Files.def' does not exist or the permissions are set incorrectly at /home/ql/public_html/cgi-bin/admin/Links/Import/BKS2.pm line 106.

Please enable debugging in setup for more details.

I did enable debugging, but get no more info (is it supposed to display inline, or somewhere else in GL?)

The thing is, the file:
Quote:
/home/ql/public_html/cgi-bin/admin/defs/glinks_Links_Files.def

Does NOT exist on either installation. Whats' going on? Any ideas?

What prefix are you using on your OLD install, and NEW one?

Hmmm. I did have different prefixes. Old install had none, new install had glinks_. I just changed that and got the same error, minus the prefix.

Hi,

Any reason your doing the move this way? Its much easier (in terms of setting plugins, template, database fields etc), to just do a proper transfer - using SSH - like I describe here:
