links and categories
Ok...I've finally made the switch to SQL, but have a question I can't seem to find an answer for. I had several copies of links 2.0 installed on my site. One was a members photo directory, one was a monthly message (lots of text), one was a photographs page with text descriptions for each, and one was an online bible project where people contributed verses to complete the bible.

Now that I'm using MySQL, how do I incorporate all of this? I've found it's pretty simple to add the categories and folders where I need them to be, but the links are the complicated part. Do I have to have a links file with 500 fields for each one?

Thanks for any help/suggestions!

Ok,

You summed up the problem right there... you had "several copies" of Links 2.0 running, each modified and customized differently.

In short, you'd have to do the same for Links SQL.

One of the big discussions is being able to run mulitple different directories from one central copy, and I just proposed a new way of potentially doing that last week, but right now, it can't be done.

I don't know what Alex has up his sleeve, on this either.
