All I have left from my links 2.0 files are

categories.db
category.def
links.db
linksid.txt
url.db

How can i import now?

this is the error I get when I import

Import error: CRITICAL ERROR OCCURED: Cannot open /home/xxxxxx/public_html/links/cgi-bin/admin/data/category.def: No such file or directory at /home/xxxxxxx/public_html/cgi-bin/admin/Links/Import/L2S2.pm line 82

any ideas

Hi,

It seems that your path to category.def fine is not correct or the file is not existed

I FTP'ed into it just to make sure it is correct and every is right. any other options?

The links.def should be there too. I don't see it on the list

I have it pointing to the old links directory (this on on the same server) The old links 2.0 works still, but I cannot get it to import to links sql 2.

You should just enter path to admin folder not to its sub folder data. Some thing like /home/xxxxxx/public_html/links/cgi-bin/admin should work

Hi,

For an import to work, you need a *working* installation of Links 2 (i.e all the files, correctly setup). Otherwise, the import script has no way of working out what its mean't to be doing / the number of fields / data config etc.

Found a hack, and cut and paste and it worked!!
