category browser use and no link number update
Whenever i use the category browser to move directories around the number of links contained is not updated. I have to resynk the tables each time.

Hmm, do you see a Javascript error when you do the update?

Also, if you move a category, and then just hit Browse again (reload the frame), are the numbers correct, or do you need to actually do a Repair Tables to get the proper count.

Cheers,

Alex

the numbers are wrong some of the time some of the time they are right.

Sometimes they just go to "undefined" or give rediculous numbers like 103,234 when there are only 20 odd links. I have also seen minus numbers which is always slighly interesting.

no javascript error.

it is not that important, i don't mind updating when moving a category so long it dosen't do it just for moving a link which i havn't checked.

Hi,

Does it require clicking on Repair Table, or if you reload the browser are the numbers correct?

The reason being, when you move a category, the counts get updated in the database, but the browser does not reload all the counts, it does it's own calculation. Just need to know which one is wrong. =)

oh it is not only in the browser.cgi that it is wrong but in page.cgi ie dynamic viewing of pages (i am not doing static build so don't know).

I can give you access (i sent you a pm) so you have try it out for yourself.

It is deinitiely not a matter of reloading browser to solve it
