My web host is ignorant... but I'm stuck with them for at least another year, barring total disaster, so I have to discover some workable workarounds.
1. What is the impact on a dynamic, detail-less site if nph-build.cgi is run nightly with no parameters passed? The idea is to get flags updated, but the cron-replacement the host uses won't accept parameters.
2. At what point does it become a problem to run nph-verify.cgi from the Admin panel, rather than the command line? Especially when true command-line access seems to be a problem.
3. What is the advantage of running nph-verify.cgi on an automated basis, if you still need to check the results and make the corrections manually, anyway?
