User Global Not Set
Hi:

The variable USER_PASSSENT is not setup in User Language/User in the current beta. This is the message that a password has been sent per the users request.

Something very easy to miss, so I thought I would let you know!

Found another!

USER_LOSTPASSSUB should be set to the Subject of the e-mail sent with the password.

Since I am being unusually critical today, can I make ANOTHER suggestion??? Smile

I think that ReceiveMail and Newsletter in the User DB should be set to No rather than Yes, and changed to Yes when the User validates thier account.

just my 2 cents!

Well... actually.... to comply with the law, the field should default to 'no' until validated, then when the user signs up, they are prompted with a "CHECKED" box they can uncheck if they _don't_ want to receive mail.

Hi Dave,

Both USER_LOSTPASSSUB and USER_PASSSENT are defined in the default language file? Was it not in yours?

Cheers,

Alex

Alex:

You know what- I uploaded an earlier version (an alpha version) of the globals, and it was probably not defined at the time that set was written! My fault- sorry!
