SpeedyCGI
Hi,

When I try to install Links selecting the persistant environment option and then press next, I end up back at the same page as the script won't let me continue.

I remember reading a post where Alex mentioned that this was because modperl, speedycgi and Fast CGI weren't installed on the server, but I am 100% sure speedycgi is there because I have #!/usr/bin/speedy in some of my cgi-scripts and they work fine.

At the shell prompt, type 'which speedy' and see what happens.

Also, I hit a problem where I had to reinstall the ENTIRE package, to get it to work. I thought the only changes were the #!/usr/local/perl and the single option in the configuration file, but that didn't work right.

At this early stage, when in doubt, reinstall the whole sucker! That will smooth out over time and with experience.
