SMTP Sending Error
Trying to register a user and I get an error bounced back:

Unable to send email. Reason: SMTP: connect() failed. reason: Cant connect to host: smtp1.sympatico.ca (Unknown error) at c:/inetpub/wwwroot/cgi-bin/linkssql/admin/Links/User/Login.pm line 192.

I'd like to enable logging to see if it is the SMTP server that is kicking back the message but unsure what level to set it to. The Help on the system doesn't seem to document the debug parameter. Any thoughts?

Thanks!
Colin

Absolutely. We use this as the primary SMTP server for all machines from this location and it was worked flawlessly in the past. SharePoint Team Services, Outlook, and other applications all use this as their primary SMTP gateway.

Hi,

You can set debug to 1 and it will show the full smtp transaction to stderr. That might help.

Cheers,

Alex
