Creating pages with templates

Creating pages with templates
I was wondering if it is possible to use a standard template to create non links pages.

If so how would they be built and how would I call the page.

Any help would be appreciated.

Is this not practical?

I'm not sure what you mean. There are ways of printing out information via the templates, but if the information is not in a links database, then much of the stuff won't be available to the templates.

I can see the benefits when you have the template parser insert the banners and logos, etc for a 'look nd feel'.

I believe you can use page.cgi as Alex pointed out.

I'm sure there is an easy set of mods that will allow a list of templates to be read, and printed out. I did parts of this between the detail_page.cgi and the top_5 mods (dynamically ouput pages during a build, that could then be statically linked or called).

If you know perl, all the code is there between those two mods, just need to put them into one package.

It sounds like it would be difficult for someone with no perl knowledge.

Yes I am looking to make non database pages. This would be easier for site updates, and everything would stay uniform.

Thanks for answering.
