Non-alphabetical order on index page for one section
The following detail pages are to be listed on the index page of one section only. All other sections list in alphabetical order, but this section should list as below. Is there any known way to accomplish this please?

New Year
Lunar New Year
Valentine's Day
Easter
April Fools
Guy Fawkes (UK only)
Christmas
Ramadan
Hajj

Thanks,
--Jo

Hi _Jo,

Are they categories? If so, we can add a new filed called "display_order" and pull them out by ordering them on that field.

My apologies, Tandat. I used the wrong terminology. By "section" I meant "category". So this is one category (called Festivals) and the listed items to appear on the category index page are "links" with "detailed pages".

Category:
Festivals

Links:
New Year
Lunar New Year
Valentine's Day
Easter
April Fools
Guy Fawkes (UK only)
Christmas
Ramadan
Hajj

Hi,

If they are links, that should be much easier. Using the same technique and add the field into the build_sort_order_category or build_sort_order_new settings, at first place.

Its default value can be 0 and these values can be greater than that and you can use the "order desc".

Thanks Tandat. The other categories list alphabetically, so build_sort_order_category in settings already has "Title" as default.

Hi,

Without changing the default value of that field, the order won't be changed. In other words, they will be sorting by Title.
