Rogue links under Admin > Link Status
Under Admin > Links Status I have links that are coming up with no status as below.

200 OK 200
25 No Response 204
7
6 Internal Error
14
30 Found, but moved

They are listed at the top "Display links that are:" under new ie

Good: 59527 Bad: 1072 New: 27 Total: 60626

I've done rebuilds, re syncs etc with out any luck.
Its not causing any errors just annoying.
Any Idea's ?

Thanks

Regards

This is still happening and its gone from 27 to 38, done the standard re builds etc.

It may only be the Link Status, so can I safely empty the lsql_Verify table. ?

Does it do this via SSH too?

I've had these issues too. I've repaired the database using WHM and fixed it. The database repair within Links control panel didn't work. Try to properly repair the tables and see what happens.

You sure its the same problem? From the sound of it, you run "myasmchk", which shouldn't do anything directly to LSQL (simply checks/fixes any database corruption). The "Repair Tables" feature in LSQL will check for orphan links; as well as repairing category counts.

Hope that helps.

Thanks

cd /path/to/your/admin
perl nph-build.cgi --repair

...or possibly you may need;

perl nph-build.cgi --repair --force=1

Hope that helps.

Did as suggested without luck.

Can I safely empty the lsql_Verify table and start afresh, does it just hold the current Status of the links or is there other issue's involved.

Thanks

To be honest, I don't know exactly what the verify table is used for (never had need to look into it).

The links themselves hold the status code last grabbed (lsql_Links.Status).

Hope that helps.

minesite - I have the same problem, even the top links totals are off - I have 12 new, but when I click there aren't any there. And yes, it isn't really causing any problem-I think, just annoys.

Hi
I did as Andy suggested and ran the nph-build.cgi --repair --force=1, it did not seem to make any immediate difference.
I also contacted the server admin about the same time and a couple of days later they come up as:
5 - Not implemented
5 - Unrecognized status code: 415
4 - Unrecognized status code: 423
11 - GONE - the requested resource is no longer available.
8 - Not acceptable
Etc.
Unsure if it was the build or server admin which made the change.
I haven’t gone any further with it but the good thing is I can view the links and delete as necessary.

Hi,

If anyone can provide admin info to the server (just send me via private message) , I'll take a look at it.

Same problem here, 2.2 breaks verify links and link status.

Hi,

I have tried it, and there are still some bugs.

The rogue links seem to be gone, but if you try to check "problem links" it quits saying that there are non to check (even if the status shows 163).

I'm also getting errors like:

Code:
Deep recursion on subroutine "GT::WWW::http::_get" at /home/a2kname/public_html/search/cgi-bin/admin/GT/WWW/http.pm line 157, <GLOB> line 9.

Using the second workaround you posted on that thread (this post) eliminated the errors, but then again, it just eliminated all funstionality as well, and the script just marks all links with a -5 code.

It doesn't even look like it attempted to check the links at all, look at the speeds:

Total Run Time: 136 second(s)
Total Links checked: 16987
Total Links Bad: 16987
Total Links Good: 0
Average time to check one link: 0.01s
Average links checked in a second: 124.90
