A student worker deleted a category with several hundred links from Admin/Browse Panel. He did this by accident. I did back up whole cgi-bin/admin directory not long ago. How do I get back my original category? Can someone help?

Did you do a SQL database backup? If not, then i dont think there is a way to get them back. Alex or someone else may know otherwise though

Andy and Paul:
What do you mean by "backing up MySQL database"? What I did was to back up /admin/backup directory. There are 9 files called Backup, Backup.1, Backup.2, Backup.3... I backed up two copies of this directory. One I did FTP in binary mode and one in ASCII mode. Those backup files cover about ten categories. I need to get back one category. How should I start doing it? Please help.
