Questions regaring LinksSQL 2.0
I have a couple of questions, regarding installation of the new BETA.

(1) Why are the title of all my pages now say Gossamer Threads Inc. I have searched the forum and checked the admin section but to no avail.

(2) Is there a way to have the (New_Images) to show up properly. For some reason, on my index page, it has new_unknown. Is it that, New_Image is no longer supported?

(3) The number of links per each category is wrong, but only on the main page. Once you go inside that particular catergory the numbers are then correct. Why is that?

Thanks for any assistance..

Sean

1) edit your Setup options and your Globals.txt file.

2) The "Days_Old" tag isn't around any more, and needs to be added in, probably in the globals.txt

3)Don't know. My test site is showing -2 links <G> rather than 0.

Sean:

Run "ReBuild Tables" from the Database page- that MAY help with the erronious number of links reported...

Great thanks for the help. Just one last question, when I go into Browse section. It seems to be missing some images.. The path it's looking for is: http://www.weathertalk.net/cgi-bin/links2/images/browser/unselected.gif. I've ran the install process and this directory is never created..? Any suggestions? I've also search everywhere and never found these images..

The images directory should be in your /public tree (doc tree) not the cgi-bin tree. Apache won't serve any images/pages from a cgi-bin directory (security).

Check your /links/images directory and see if they are there, and adjust your paths properly in the setup area.

You're welcome, it's a lot to absorb in one jump. But, it all actually makes better sense than previous links versions once you get used to it all.
