Optimizing reindexing (INTERNAL)
Hi,

I was just wondering what exactly happens if I do a nph-index.cgi --reindex and if there is a way to optimize the reindex-process (speed and disk-/memory-space):

+ e.g. exclude not needed Links-table-fields from the index.

Does anyone has a clue if this is possible and could maybe tell me how to remove table-fields from reindexing and which fields must be in the index for proper page.cgi/search.cgi-functionallity?

Regards,
Manu

This is what the weights are for - only the fields that you include weights for should be included in the indexing.
