Link counting in categories is wrong?

Link counting in categories is wrong?
When the links are counted they are not counted recursively in LinksSQL 2.1.

Eg.: Computers has 0 links
Computers/Monitors has 30 links
Computers/Printers has 10 links
So in the main screen Computers should show (40) links, instead of 0.

I'm new to LinksSQL 2.1, I knew & used Links 2.0 before, but object oriented programming is not my stong side Frown
Could anybody help me how & where to correct the problem above?

Under the 'database' menu, the left menu has an option called 'rebuild tables'. Try clicking on that. It should sort out any categories that have incorrect link numbers show.

Yep, this worked. Smile

But why is this not done automatically?
How often do I need to repair tables?

Did you update or add new links externally? If so, thats why the count number was not updated.

Hi,

You should not normally need to do this, only if you import, or alter the sql tables directly will you need to run repair tables to reset the link counts.

Cheers,
