I've modified my categories in Links SQL but need to import an updated links database from Links 2.0. The new import overwrites my category changes. Is there a way to import only the links.db information and keep the existing category information? Thanks.

In your admin area, try "Database -> Links -> Properties -> Import Data". I'm not sure it does what you want, but you can try (maybe first on a test installation).

I don't think that will work with alt categories and other specific mods.
I think a solution where I can just # comment out parts of the code would work best. Problem is, I don't know what to get rid of and in which files. Seems like it should be simple though???

Is there any way to do what i'm asking? This will be an ongoing issue since i'll be running 2 sites from the same database. I'll be updating on the Links 2.0 version and importing the database into Links SQL each time. The Links SQL categories will have different fields and descriptions so I can't have them overwritten each time. Is there a way to just import the links.db file?
