FAQ Beta
The FAQ Beta is now running Alpha 6.

Upgrade from alpha 5 was fairly painless.

Still haven't figured out the best way to recreate the "Days_Old" tag. Probably needs to be a Tag:Function. Any suggestions?

This will be the new home of the FAQ once the final beta is released, for now, it's just a testing bed.

Meaning that it is running the new links SQL (or a beta of it)? If so I guess it's the first demo site and it seems to work....(there is a broken image next to some categories names).

If that's so, can you give us some feedback on how it's working (you are doing that all the time, but maybe something for the general, non initiated, public. I have not seen any of the betas, alphas or whatever. In fact I am waiting for the new version to buy links SQL)

Yes, this is alpha 6 code.

The broken images, as I said in a previous message, are due to the DaysOld tag. That was not carried through into the new version, as a standard thing, and I'm still trying to figure out how to make changes.

Thank you! I was waiting for GT to release a beta of this, so it's nice to see one (even if not GT's). One does not see anything revolutionary, but I guess those are on the dev side... I guess if you can run a site off it, the development is at the final stages...

Regards

As I said with alpha 4 (?) the install went well, and the old template sets were used without a problem (except the days_old). Takes awhile to enter your standard "global" tags, but once done it's carried through alpha 5 and 6.

Most of the changes is on the admin end, and in the internal logic.

Your users shouldn't really notice much different except a few new features and that many things now work as expected.
