Creating Database categories and placing DMOZ info into Database
Hello all,
I've recently purchased the Links SQL 2 and I have downloaded the DMOZ structure and content. But, I'm at the now what do I do stage. How do I take categories from the structure and make my database have the same fields? Then how do I get the content into the database?

I have downloaded the hyperseek script, but I'm still not sure how to proceed. I guess I need a detailed roadmap on where to turn and which path to take.

I also purchased the Spider software and will look for more info on that later.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Phil Smile

Hi,

To import from DMoz, you will need shell access. Run:

perl nph-import.cgi

and it will give you a list of options you can use to do an import. Try a search on this forum for DMoz for a list of several examples.

Cheers,

Alex
