I am using a modified version of the default templates, that are in the /default/local directory.

I found that if I specify a category template in the browser, that particlar catgeory template must be in the /default directory. It doesn't work when only in the /default/local directory.

Is this the way it is supposed to be? (I'd rather keep all the templates that i am using in one directory, even if they are category specific.

If I don't put them in the /default directory (or whatever directory was set up to build the pages with), I get an error.

This is indeed a bug in the beta. For now, just put them in default and default/local (the one in local will be the one that is actually used).
