An error just started showing up
Checking my log files today, I noticed a new error that just started last night at 11:30 PM. No changes at all have been made to Links for a while, so I cannot see it being a coding problem... all I can figure is maybe the HD screwed up a bit of code or something...

Anyway, the error I get is this:

Quote:
Undefined subroutine &Links::User::Rate::main called at /usr/path/to/admin/GT/Plugins.pm line 108.

I have replaced the online copy of both GT/Pllugins.pm and Rate.PM with Back ups (local), and still the error...

any ideas?

Thanks!

It looks like one of the plugins you have installed is causing this.

Thanks for the idea. Based on that, I figured maybe one of the plug-ins got corrupted or something (I have not installed on in months!), so I uninstalled them all... and still the error!

Put them all back in, still error...

Are you using mod_perl?

I'm not sure why those plugins would be calling a routine in Rate.pm.

Yes, mod_perl....

Seems like all the scripts are not working now.... nada. The pages themselves (static) show up, but nothing for any dynamic pages...

Try restarting apache and see if that helps.

Well, everything was down, so I totally reinstalled. Again, the static pages are there and fine, but alll dynamic pages error 500.

The error log says:

Premature end of script headers

Hi Dave,

Hmm, check for disk space. Try typing a:

df

from shell and see what it says. Also, check MySQL, however this really looks like an out of disk space issue. If you need some quick help, drop me an email and I can take a look.

Cheers,

Alex

Hi Alex!

Thanks for looking in. I did a df, and have plenty of spoace:

Filesystem 1K-blocks Used Avail Capacity Mounted on
/dev/ad1s1a 1016303 132434 802565 14% /
/dev/ad0s1a 1016303 4 934995 0% /hd2
/dev/ad1s1f 14887224 7183873 6512374 52% /usr
/dev/ad0s1f 34836590 2321120 29728543 7% /hd2/web
/dev/ad1s1e 2032623 56568 1813446 3% /var
procfs 4 4 0 100% /proc

the install is on ad0s1f

Could it be a problem with the MySQL server? I do not have control of that, and I know that has caused problems before... Should I have my ISP restart that?

Hmm, it doesn't look like a MySQL error. Send me ssh access and I can take a look for you.

Resolved!

There was an upgrade of Apache and suexec created the trouble.
Suexec needed to be disabled.
