[SUGGESTION] Links SQL Library - Images
I'd like to suggest that the Links SQL library be extended to inlcuded the image upload functionality of GForum.

I think this is something that would be commonly used in Links if it were in-built.

I realise you can do this (see: http://www.gossamer-threads.com/...s/Detailed/1980.html) in a number of ways already. But GForum seems to have features, like image resize and restrictions (like the ones on Avtars for users), which in Links you seem to have to resort to things like size.pm from ImageMagic.

I could be way off on this of course, and wouldn't mind someone setting me straight on an existing or easy way to go about this.

Just a thought.Cool

I think Alex is working on those routines behind the scenes, maybe getting things ready for Gossamer Community. He's mentioned his image routines several times.

I used the netpbm libraries, which were smaller, and simpler, but I can't get them to compile on the new servers (the jpg routines are not where the compiler seems to want them).

Yeah, jpeg seems to be an interesting one.

Well, It would certainly be nice to see an increase in built-in image functionality / functions, and maybe/hopefully there may be something with community, as you say.
