Easily =)
I've seen them as large as;
200,000 users
3,000,000+ links
200,000 hits/day
... on one of the sites I've done work on. However, with a decent server... you can easily double/tripple these figures

LinksSQL is just the front-end to your database.
Therefore it is the server hardware and software that causes the limitations. If you had a setup like Google then LinkSQL could probably handle billions of links :)
As long as you have a decent server you should be all set.
Also you can usually find performance enhancing tips for your database server at the vendors website.
