Anybody try to integrate a feature like this nice Forum Editor into Links SQL? Would be a great add on for those that are using LINKS Sql for Detailed / more indepth page displays.

So when user Adds his content in Detailed mode, a text area (Description for instance) would have a easy to use page enhancements - at least the basics.

We included the global for regexp swaps of line/paragrah breaks and such, but I know, no one will manually place bold tags or other code in their pages.

Greetings:

I am planning to 'try' and integrate this into the admin pages - to help with reformatting some codes some users add now. I don't know whether I'll be successful.

HTMLArea does only work with IE5.5+ (but it degrades to a normal textarea box for those without IE5.5+). Another option (although I haven't tried it is Editize at http://editize.com. This works with just about all browsers including Mozilla, Operat etc - costs $127.00.

A simpler alternative can be found here:http://users.ox.ac.uk/%7Epault/netwedit/[/url]. This works in NN4+.

Hope this is of some help.

Regards,

Clint.

editize requires an 8MB Java plugin - not something people will want to download if they don't already have it Frown

I testing embedding interactivetools briefly. It worked, then I saw all the extraneous code added when somebody copies a Word doc and pastes it in.
