Extra Stats: counting page.cgi instead of jump.cgi

Extra Stats: counting page.cgi instead of jump.cgi
Hi!

I'am using the ExtraStats-Plugin. I want to count with this, how many users visit my detailed pages.

I call my detailed pages by the page.cgi like this /cgi-bin/.../page.cgi?g=Detailed/35.html&t=myTemplate.

I need to call it by page.cgi because I need to show the detailed pages with different templates.

The problem is, that these calls by page.cgi are not counted by the plugin. It only counts calls by jump.cgi, but with jump.cgi I cannot use different templates (the static detailed page is shown).

Is there a solution for this problem?

Thanks for helping, Tina

Hi,

Sorry for the delay in replying to this - I've been away from the forum for some time.

Unfortunately the ExtraStats plugin uses a hook on jump.cgi so you need to be using jump.cgi to use it. As the thread that John linked to above shows - you could use Pugdog's detail page plugin if you don't want to use jump.cgi.

However, I'm not sure why you can't use different templates with the detail pages using jump.cgi - have you tried jump.cgi?Detailed=<%ID%>&t=myTemplate
