Integration of SearchLogger and Spider

Integration of SearchLogger and Spider
At the moment, the search logger does not track the link results for the spider. It would be very helpful if it did - are there any plans to integrate this? A separate column for the spider results would probably be most useful, that way we could see exactly what is getting grabbed from the main DB, and what is getting grabbed from the spider DB. Not to mention that it would be a good way to promote sales for the spider. ;)

Thx

Hi,

Could you also add some sort of search term exclusion. This would filter down to other plugins like the top 10 search plug and exclude the query term used in the Aphabar plug also.

Can you explain what you mean a bit more? Do you mean the SearchLogger will check if say $IN->param('skip_log') is set, and if so, won't log the search? This way other plugins could turn off logging?

Cheers,

Alex

Not logging the Alpha Bar query would be needed and also some sort of bad word filter as both of these are displayed via the top 10 search display (from PW) and any other plug-in that uses the GT search logger table.

This has prevented me from using these plugins as yet.

Possibly a stupid question,
which plugin should be updated?? the entire spider plugin or the searchlogger plugin. It seems be easier to create another version of the searchlogger plugin that logs the spider search. After that, you could have 2 searchloggers installed. What do you think about this idea???
