How do you refer to dynamic home page
If I use the dynamic version of Links SQL, then how will I point to the dynamic home page, as search engine looks for the home page in the root?
Do I need to use redirect? (or is there a better way, as search engines do not like redirections ore refreshs).
so, instead of:
http://www.mydomain.com/...n/links/page.cgi?d=1
I want to use:
http://www.mydomain.com/
to refer to my site but need to use the dynamic mode.
thanks
Mark

Hi,

Try searching for "mod_rewrite" , and follow the instructions in that thread.

Basically, you can setup your entire directory to run in dynamic mode, whilst still appearing to be static.

We do this on a lot of our sites:

http://www.ultranerds.com
http://www.cool-clipart.com
http://www.myuksearch.co.uk

..etc

Hope taht helps.
