suggestion for forum:
Can i before this forum gets going make a suggestion. I have posted this in another thread but just so more people see it:

If you are releasing a plugin do this:

[RELEASE] Plugin Name v1.x

sort of thing.

That makes it very easy to see plugins being released. Everything else can then be seen as requests about plguins and discussions about plugins in general.

Please don't do [REQUEST] !

Other ones that you might use are say [ALPHA] and [BETA]

Of course flame away if you hate my idea, it just works real well at vbulletin.com and thought i might suggest it here.

I think people releasing plugins are going to make it fairly obvious anyway so there is no need to type in big capital letters.

well it is up to you, but trying to find from a page of 50 threads which ones are releases, which are requests and which are general discussions is not easy but anyway it is just a suggestion.

Most releases will say something like Search Timer available or Search Timer released so it shouldn't be too hard to spot them.

I agree with padders...one compromise might be to add another field in the "post submission" form that allows to specify different options like "Mod available" or "Mod released" or something to that extent...then post an icon next to the Thread title.

Rather than using ALL CAPS (which BTW, doesn't always meaning SHOUTING...talk to a couple visually challenged individuals and they will shed a lot of light on the use of CAP letters), an icon or graphic may be the next best thing.
