Hey Ian,

Is there a place to turn off the TopXEditors "Title Only"?

Thanks!

Hi Brian,

I think I answered this one in a pm :) I am also going to add it to my "tips".

(I've added another poll to the EM support: Should editors be able to do a build changed?)

Hi Ian,

The more I delve into the EM plugin the more I see the need for an editor to be able to add their comments and/or rating to a link. I can really see this as a big feature that not only allows a greater amount of interactivity with the editor it also adds a personal touch to the listing as well.

While an editor may find a link fits into a specific category it may need a qualifying comment to really communicate the reference and relevance.

UN would not need it as they have a review and rating system to use. It is just the editors that are left out hanging.

Thoughts?Cool

Yes, some kind of Editor Pick and/or rating system?

Well, I like the Editors Choice of the Month thing as well. This is more like Editor Comments that can be attached to a link.Smile

I think Comments could be attached to links, for sure. This would be an Editorial type of think, where only Editors could write one? As the review system seems to cover the user based comments pretty good.

Exactly.

Users have the reviews and editors would have Editor Comments.Cool

Yeah, nice idea. I've added this feature several times with custom work, and it seems to work well, as long as the ediotors are happy to write the reviews Tongue

Hi Ian,

It is possible that this idea has came up in the past:

How about a way to allow users to suggest a new category? Like:

"Click here to create a new category"

Re: [nt6] v2.0.1 Released In reply to
"Click here to suggest a new category" might be a better way to phrase it if this is presented to a user.

Suggest a category is something which comes up every now and then, have a suggested this one myself. I am currently using my own php file for doing this, but I may include it into EM3.

Yes, end of September, early October. I am planning a load of new features, enhancements etc for this one. You should see my todo listfor itShocked. The actual features that get added will depend on what works out as I go through the list, but I will try to add most of the things which have been suggested so far.

User Filtering In reply to
User filter has been added and will be included with the next release of EM.

Quote:
Whoson Filter

You have the ability to filter our regular users from the 'whoson' by setting the Whoson_Filter = 1 (default is 0) in the EMSettings table. This will cause the 'whoson' function to only show you Editors online.

The next upgrade of Editor Monitor will allow Editors to upload their own pictures. (Same as User Monitor)
