Office? No. The problem is browser/library related as I understand it. The browser could be made to call in similar libraries to which it does in IE/Win. Openoffice perhaps could provide these libs. I don't think the innovation is going to be placed into MS office on the mac. Anything which is GPL etc stands a chance though. Openoffice->Chimera maybe?
Having said all this though Apple has published the "Windows Win32 API-Mac OS X Porting Guide" to help Windows developers porting their existing C or C++ Windows applications to Mac OS X. So anything is possible.
Maybe it will come to linux in the same way.
My skills are slowly improving in the os x environment (unlike my spelling), and my c++ is getting back to the way it was when I used to program in it. I was thinking of contributing to the Open Office project
