LOL. Just testing the behaviour of the signature tag within a message.
Also looking to see is your post count went down with the posts you deleted (which it doesn't and makes sense). Also why is there a gap in the subjet title? See it? If not, go to reply screen and there is a gap between your name and the subject.
I can also see you in the who's online ;-)

Yipee! I like the new quote marks - thanks Jason.
Although an indent would of been nicer than line on the side.
Yep, it looks like the program is generating a whitespace, which of course would be invisible in the HTML but it is clear in an input box like above. I wonder why it's doing that....

Yeah, it's a bug in the pattern matching - it isn't looking for extra whitespace and is adding whitespace, so it builds up.

me, too, I don't really care for the left bar within the quote bracket. Possibly, because the line is really fat!
How about a full out box?
Line color are nice though.
