No, I have a $ above the 4. How would you type $ if you needed to then?

I have £ for shift + 3 and $ for shift + 4

What do you have for shift + 3?

I have a number or hash sign for shift-3 -> #
Where is your hash sign?

Left of the enter key I have a key with ~ at the top and # at the bottom, so the ~ is used by pressing shift and the # just by pressing the key on its own.

Ahhh, just a different layout. I guess we have one less symbol on our keyboards in the end.

Yes. You have to do some silly alt combination. Saying that, we don't have an Euro key on our keyboards yet. :-/
