I've found that moving threads is sometimes confusing to users because they think their post has been deleted. It would be helpful if we could have some sort of notice of a moved thread.

I *believe* this has been discussed before.

One suggestion was to leave a 'redirect' in the original forum to the new thread with a moved icon besides it.

Another would be an *option* to PM the author of the thread that their message has been moved. This would be automated, of course.

I do the second one manually now, so an automated version of that would appeal to me.

Yeah, this is being implamented at another forum I frequent. Could be a very useful plugin/feature.
