I'm not sure if this is a "bug" or a "feature"

When someone makes a reply to a post, then that reply is deleted, the reply count does not adjust itself back down. This can be confusing when users are trying to find non-existent replies to posts...

That's because the "reply"/post is not actually deleted...if you chose the option to keep the Thread, but delete the message that regular users can view...

Look in the set of options for "deleting" posts.

No, if you chose the option to delete the message, and not keep the thread, the reply counter is still screwed.

It really is annoying, actually. Because the main page shows the last poster, the reply count, and a link to the last message.

But if that message has been deleted, all of that information becomes uselss and very confusing.

I already have it set to "delete post and all replies". Does that work differently depending on whether you delete the original post in a thread, or delete a reply in the thread?

Either way, there's definitely a bug here...
