LOL

Not sure where they got that info from......

To be exactly:

Personal, Non-profit and education use $100.00 USD
Commercial Use $200.00 USD

Which is an avg. vBulletin price.

went back to the thread. apparently the guy was quoting wwwThreads prices ...

I'm still happy that this forums information is spreading!

phpBB2 does have a nice feature for smiley happy people click smiles. you don't have to remember all the smiley codes or type them out just pick one and click PRESTO instant smiley code.

It would be pretty easy to do with javascript.

Do you mean like adding smilie buttons on the post page so you click it an it inserts the smilie code?

Hmm also personally I think the icons on the post page should be one one line - would make it look neater (not that it isn't already neat).....there is plenty of space across the page.

But I'm just fussy.

I hope I won't get into trouble for mentioning this but I have a demo forum up and I am trying to implement all the changes I would personally like so maybe others can take a look or just use it to test things out.......I'm working on it currently so I still have a lot to do.

I may try adding some of these features to see how they work and maybe jason can implement them here if they look ok.

Hmm I knew I shouldn't have mentioned it.

I hope people don't take it the wrong way. I only mentioned it so people can go and have a play because I've turned most of the features on.

I'm also trying to create a nice set of templates set so that's why they were kind enough to let me set up a demo.

.....also bug swatting in the admin page and anything that isn't mentioned in the forum :)

This is definately something that I plan to implement before the final release.

the bottom link sends you to the main forum.

you need to go into the chit-chat area.

phpBB2 is still in beta -- forever it seems for some of us. Their 1.4.2 is close to vBulletin and possibly even better, but then again these folks are doing this under GPL/GNU versus a paid developement team at vBulletin or even here at GT.

gee -- critical error ... never even seen that before. I use OS X with explorer 5.1.beta1 ... errr only beta software from M$ ... go figure ... haha but it seems my beta is giving me less problems than your M$ versions [;)]

I finally got to it - where did they pull the $100/$200 prices from? It's news to me.
