mail encoding
Hiya,

Well, techincally not a bug but in a way a bug Crazy

I'm trying to send mail in Japanese Shocked lol no doubt I've got some problems.

Where should I look to change the encoding for this type of thingy?
I've dug around some, (I should do some more Blush) but just can't seem to find which module this is hiding in.

Would you mind either providing the solution (which would be awesome) or point me to which place to look in (which would be fine too Laugh)

Thanks!!

Go to the e-mail template editor, and bring up one of the e-mails. You will see a button reading "Show Extra Headers". If you click it, a text box will come up where you can enter any custom e-mail headers, including the Content-type encoding you are looking for. Smile

Cool great I'll give it a shot

will this also do the subscribe email too? (as in like the ones that go out through cron)

edit begins here >>>>

dam ... why didn't I see this ?!?!?
this is a pretty cool / sweet function!!!! Nice touch!!!

answer to my question: yep and more!

New question:
do I just plop in (Content-Type: text/plain; charset="XyZ") or do I have to do some magic on it first?

You'll need to do it for each e-mail template you want to change (read: all of them).

ughhhh ... missed my edit it seems Frown

yeah, figured that out, but now do I just drop in (Content-Type: text/plain; charset="ISO-XZY") or do I have to something like (<META HTTP-EQUIV="content-type" CONTENT="text/html; charset=ISO-XZY">) ????

Just:

Content-Type: text/plain; charset="ISO-XZY"

This is an actual e-mail header, not some HTML pseudo-equivelant ;-).
