Hi,

You can "Lock" a thread, which will mean users can't reply to the thread, but the contents are still visible.

You can also Move a thread, or Detatch and Move part of a thread to a separate forum (where permissions are setup so that only moderators/admin's can view this forum).

Cheers,

Hello Alex

Thats right, but when i move a Post in a privat Forum the user dosent know why he cant go into the Forum.
So i mean he must ge a special Message.

Maybe in the same Look like "this is a privyte Forum" an under this message
Hier were stored the bad Postings

Is this possible with a small change in a Template ?

Hi,

One thing you should do is edit the post and uncheck "Send e-mail notification on reply". On our todo list is not to send a reply if the user doesn't currently have permissions to view the post.

Also, you can edit the permission denied template to display a more helpful error message.

Cheers,

Hi,

That sounds like it should work. Try doing a:

<%GT::Template::dump%>

to see what tags you have available.

No: GT::Template treats '=' and '==' in the same way.
