Number of posts
Hmm number of posts per page seems to be set in stone - any chance of making this a profile option as I like more than 25 posts per page.

Not a problem.

Should I just use a single number that people can set for all paging, or should there be one for forums, one for messages, one for posts, etc.?

One for each would be great IMO

Thanks!

Edit: Some line breaks after the post content and before the signature would be nice too :)
Oops......also when you edit a post the signature markup tag reappears and isn't a tick box

How about putting a newline at the beginning of your signature? I thought about it, but then I considered that someone might want to have a signature like:
-------------------
My Name

With the -'s right under the text, so I decided it would be easier to have people just put another \n in their profile if the want the extra space.

That's intentional - that way you can edit your post to adjust the exact positioning of your signature.

Ok will do.

One number would be less confusing. Just give them an option of 5,10,15,20,50 or something.

Sorry, I disagree.

I dont think

Number of threads per page: <LIST>
Number of posts per page: <LIST>
Number of pms per page: <LIST>

.....is confusing.....or am I missing something!

Not everyone wants the same number of threads/posts/pms per page as they take up different amounts of space and should be seperate options.

What's the difference between number of threads per page and number of posts per page?

Thanks.

Well posts are what you are looking at right now....

Threads are what you create when you make a new post that has had no replies.

Threads:

Finally, I get what you're saying.

The reason I was confused was because I thought that the number of threads you see is usually determinded by date settings on other bulletin boards.

i.e. view threads from last 7 days
view threads from last 14 days
view all threads
view new threads since last visit

it usually isn't a set number on most boards.

Cheers
