Is there a way to easily mass mail to "moderators of any forum"?

No really - the special groups that keep track of this aren't meant to be used directly. However, you can work your way around this restriction by forming your own URL:

If you access:

http://yoursite/yourforum/admin/admin.cgi?action=selected_users_search;mh=-1;UserGroup.group_id_fk=4

You should be sending mail to the moderators.
