I attempted to change the default icons (buttons) ...

I attempted to change the default icons (buttons) ...
... in the menu bar for the forum, i.e., Home, Profile, Messages, etc.

I put them in the /images directory as replacements for the defaults. Are they stored somewhere else, also? I cleared my cache, restarted, etc., and the "factory" buttons are still there.

Thanks

Steve

I have not problems to change the menu icons, simply editing the template include_header.html
I remember when i had a seemed trouble with old images, and the problem was the cache from a proxy server that i used. I think you should find where the old icons are cached, i'm sure they are not stored in other place than the /images directory.

Hope help...

OK, I placed the new images in the /images directory on the server and edited <img src="<%image_url%>/home.gif" border="0" align="left" alt="Main Index" height="27" width="27"> changing the name of home.gif to the new button name.

No changes. I even tried naming the new button home.gif and had the same result. I cleared my cache, etc.

Any thoughts?

Steve

Try right-clicking on the image and click on properties and then look at the URL. Cut and paste the URL into your browser and see what image shows up. It may be in a different path then the one you think.

That URL shows the default image. You should FTP up a replacement for it.

Am I losing my mind? Don't answer that ... I know I am!

Thanks in advance!
