How about equal functionality for categories like forums?

I'm doing some expansion and wanted to hide a new category until I have it ready to launch, but you can only hide forums.

It should be fairly easy to do this in the template:

<%if cat_id = 23 or cat_id_fk = 23%><%nextloop%><%endif%> - which should skip the category and any forums within it. Unfortunately, it will still show up in the jump list and the search page, but at least it won't appear on the main page.

Speaking of...how about bringing the "Move to" jump menu structure in line with the rest of the package?

You mean making it look like the jump to list (leaving the categories off)?

We should have a 1.1.7 release next week which adds a "moved" trail (ie: Moved: Subject) and edit log reasons - I'll change the move list as well.

Actually, I just remembered the reason - on the move list, you should not be able to select a category, but on the jump list you can select a category. Hmm, I'll try and figure out a way around it...
