I just noticed that when posts are deleted the post count doesn't seem to get updated properly.

Do you mean deleted ones that still show up? The post count is only adjusted if the post is actually removed, not if it is just set to deleted.

Even when removed it doesn't work....take a look at the Favorite Foods thread in Chit-Chat....it is showing 27 replies and there are only 13 posts.
