Okay, I haven't found where this one has been posted before. Using the advanced editor, place a smiley face into your message. Select the face icon in your message, hit backspace.

I can't reproduce a problem? What happens, do you lose your message? Also, when you say select, do you mean mouse click on the smiley, or highlight?

I select it with the mouse, and then backspace...it blows me clear out of the post message editor back to the thread.

Hmm, well backspace is the keyboard shortcut to go back in IE (if you press backspace on a normal page, you'll go back one), this must be what's happening. It must be on some version's of IE, you lose focus of the textarea when you select it with your mouse, and pressing backspace goes back one.

I'm not sure how much we can do with this, but I'll take a look.

The only keyboard shortcut I've ever used, rarely, for go back was Alt - Left Arrow, never used the backspace to do that. I guess being in the text editor, since I do use backspace there - it never occured to me.
