It shows up like that when Javascript is disabled - the button uses Javascript to create itself. When you click the button, the Javascript opens the thread in a new window. If you don't have Javascript enabled, it has to use a link to do that.

that's weird. I knew I had activex disabled, but I don't remember disabling javascript. When I enabled activex again the button looks okay.

Hm. Out of interest - why does it use Javascript? Surely this could be recreated using a normal pop up window? As in, traget_blank ?

Because it's a button. Try making a button open up a new window without javascript Smile

Sure, if it's an link, eg. <a href="..." target="_blank">Print Thread</a>.

Hm. Can't you put target=_blank into the FORM part before you reach the button?

There's no way you could get the nice no address bar and no status bar with a form submission.

Click the Print Thread button and look for your browser's address bar or status bar. Smile

Ah, right. Sorry, didn't catch on there for a second. Is that really neccessary anyway? Sorry, I'm just trolling here; I'm just not the biggest fan of Javascript where an, IMO, acceptable alternative can be used.

Edit: I guess this is always something that can be altered later by a developer.
