UBB offers something call "wordlets" with which you can translate and change your forum 's user side without messing with your templates... into any language. Does GFroums offer this ?

I'm not sure what these 'wordlets' are... but as with all Gossamer products, you can easily change all the error/result messages and other various words in language.txt for a particular template. Some examples from gforum's language.txt:
'LOGIN_DISABLED' => 'Your account is not enabled',
'LOGIN_INVALID_USERNAME_PASSWORD' => 'Invalid username/password combination entered',
'LOGIN_NOT_VALIDATED' => 'Your signup has not been validated',
'MESSAGE_DOES_NOT_EXIST' => 'The message you attempted to access does not exist',
'NO_SUBJECT' => '<no subject>',
Any other language specific things can be easily changed in the templates, as it's all that you would need to change is in the templates, and not in the code.
