Serious admin problem: user names, permissions all messed up
OK, I don't know what happened. I have run a dbman flat file database for years, now upgrading to dbman sql. I everything on the server, run install.cgi, everything's looking OK. Run setup everything looks ok/ Create an admin user name and password, get the message that now my admin blah blah blah is protected next screen will ask for password.

Login with the name and password and get invalid user name and password. Try different adding and deleting different names and passwords. No luck. Can't get into any of the sample databases either.

Can't even delete the program from my server cuz it tells me I don't have permission.

I am not sure where to go from here. Any help?

After emailing tech support at GT, it appears my ISP and I need to chat about .htaccess configuration on our Apache server. Though I am not convince that's the problem, cuz I have .htaccesses on other folders.

Anyway, on to the real work.

BTW, Does tech support ever read these forums, or is it just for us grunts?
