Permission denied... (2.0 beta)
Got the same problem when trying to install beta 1 and 2:

Could not make directory (/cgi). Reason: Permission denied
*
Could not make directory (/images). Reason: Permission denied

I already change permissions to 777, it doesn't help.

And I have no telnet login...

Any help would be appreciated :)

All you need to do is specify the complete/absolute path to the folder...
e.g.
/web/your_site_root/public_html/cgi-bin/DBManSQL

The URL that points to the same folder:
www.yoursitename.com/cgi-bin/DBManSQL

The installation form only suggests a 'relative' path,
but it needs the absolute path.

This will work.

Many thanks, this worked!

As you say, I was confused by the default values that suggest a relative path...
