Where are these setting made. I am using WS-FTP32 Lite to transfer files in ascii mode. The original problem was that I get permission denied when I try to login or setup a new user. I was told to make these setting but I don't know where to make them.

In FTP, there should be permission settings for files. Right click on the file. In the properties tab, there should be checkboxes for the three different user groups:

Owner:
Group:
Everyone:

Make sure that the following permissions are assigned to these three user groups:

Owner: Read, Write
Group: Read, Write
Everyone: Read, Write

The translation of rw-rw-rw- means the following above permissions.

Hope this helps.
