blocking wildcard searches

blocking wildcard searches
Is there any way to block wildcards in a search? I don't want someone to be able to see all the records with just a * in the search field.

see http://redundantcartridge.com/dbman/index.htm. in dbman faq, choose search category. you'll see a topic called 'disabling *'
